About the Cluster
The Moscow Region Cluster of Enterprises Manufacturing Medical Devices (MRC EMMD) was established September 29, 2016. The aim of the organization is preserving and strengthening the leading position of the medical industry of Moscow Region in the Russian Federation and improving the quality of medical products and the competitiveness of the participants by the development of scientific and engineering cooperation. We are aiming at the formation of a common policy for the programs of the state support and state orders of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region and the Russian Federation. Creation of a specialized structure of interactions and personnel training will also play a big role in promoting the products on the Russian and foreign markets.
Currently, the medical industry of Moscow Region occupies the leading position in the Russian Federation in terms of manufacturing of medical appliances, number of investment projects and total number of medical products. The federal and regional industrial development programs contributed greatly to this result.

The Medical and Technical Cluster of Moscow Region deals with a lot of partners. There are already 37 organizations engaged in production, development, supply of medical products and technology services, including 25 developers and manufacturers of medical products, 5 technology service providers, 5 innovation infrastructure organizations, Dubna University and the research center.
The number of participants is constantly growing. The Cluster members are planning to create at least 15 new production facilities with a planned capacity of more than 12.9 billion rubles a year by 2020 in Dubna- a special economic technical and innovative zone.
